Note: All models and pageant contestants please read this information.
Q. Is posting a picture in each category necessary in order for me to sign up?
A. No, but you will not be entered into the Beauty Pageant
portion of the competition without at least
one dress wear photo and one swimwear photo. Your photo's should be less than
180 days old at time of posting.
Q. Are there any other mandatory things I
need to do in order to be a contestant in the Beauty Pageant?
A. Yes. These rules do not apply to
those only interested in placing a modeling portfolio on the site.
1. All Beauty Pageant contestants must install the Alexa Toolbar available here
www.alexa.com/site/download
2. All Beauty Pageant contestants must log on at least once every calendar month
and leave at least one comment or forum post.
3. All Beauty Pageant contestants must maintain their account in good standing and
ensure it is kept current.
Q. Will the site be free forever?
A. No, the site has provided benefit to
many women as a self promotional platform but with escalating cost due to the
now thousands of accounts that must be maintained everyday, relationships with
agencies that must be maintained and basic website administrative task we will
be switching to a $5 one time fee to sign up in the future.
Q. Will posting a picture result in it remaining on your site forever?
A. No, deleting is permitted at any time.
Q. What types of pictures can I post to the website?
A. PG-13 max, as determined by us. That means no exposed private areas.
Many contestants have lingerie photos in sheer material and that is fine as
this type of thing is commonly seen on regular network television.
Q. How can I remove any of my images once they are uploaded?
A. There is a link named "upload picture" in the member menu, and, upon clicking it, you will get a button for deleting your picture. If you would like to change your pictures then simply delete them and repost, remembering that the first picture posted will be the main
profile image.
Q. Why are the ratings not an arithmetic average?
A. A large amount of people (popularly known as "haters") give "1" ratings to everyone, and therefore a straight average is not appropriate. The method we use for countering this wave of "1"s is making the overall rating a root mean
square. To put it simply, we compute the square root of the averages of the
squares of your ratings. A more detailed explanation is available through most
major search engines.A simple example would go something like this:
Somebody rates you a 2, Somebody else a 10. A 6 ranking would be the result as
in standard pageants and modeling contest. Unfortunately as described above,
this is the internet so there is no way to stop people from voting down others
unfairly with classical scoring.
By using our method and using the same example, you get a 7,2, by squaring
2, squaring 10, (4 and 100, respectively) and averaging the results, which
would give a final result of 52, which, upon extracting the square root, gives
7.211. This is also the reason that the contestant ratings are given in a
format that allows votes to be counted down to the 1/10000th level which is
hundreds of times more accurate and fair than any other Beauty Pageant or
Model Search in history.
Our goal here was to level the playing field and make it so that the woman
who wants to win, can win. All she needs to do is promote herself and get
people to come and vote for her and it does not matter her race, color, creed,
religion or social standing. We have nullified all of the typical stumbling
block and cut right to the important part; finding out which women on the site
have international commercial appeal based on the fact that people from over
170 countries vote for the winner of the Beauty Pageant and make the model
popular by helping her get to the toplist so her profile can be seen by
modeling agency scouts.
Q. What does "Queued" mean, when talking about my pictures status?
A. That means your picture is still waiting for approval/rejection.
Q. What does "Disabled" mean, when talking about my pictures status?
A. That means that your picture has been rejected as it does not follow our image rules or voting fraud is being investigated by us.
If your account is no longer active it may be disabled upon request as well.
Q. Why has my picture been rejected?
A. See the upload picture page for the latest rules. If you comply to all those rules but still can not get approval, then the pictures you have posted may be under suspicion of being a stolen or otherwise not legitimate picture. Contact us in order to clarify or validate things. Include a username and user ID.
Q. Someone has stolen my picture! What can I do?
A. Please use the "report image" link below the picture to send a notification to the admin.
Q. What are the prizes?
A. Micro-Celebrity status from press releases and
immortalization on our website. The title of 'The Ultimate Beauty Queen'
is more useful on your resume than anything material we could give you since
the world now ranks models just like it ranks websites, by their Google
status. If you need to find out how important Micro-Celebrity is then look up
'Tila Tequila'. Irregardless of the actual person, that is a textbook example
of the power of the internet and Micro-Celebrity.
Q. Is there any affiliation between this website and The Miss Universe Organization?
A. No. The Miss Universe Organization is not affiliated in any way with this
Beauty Pageant or website.
This contest was originally called Miss Online Universe during the 2005-2006
competition. The rights to the usage of the name have been transferred to the
TRUMP Organization and they have not notified us of any further plans for Miss
Online Universe.
Q. What measures are in place to defeat cheating?
A. In order for a proper entry to be considered the winner,
the associated 'User Name' must have more than 500 votes as of 0053 HRS on the 30th
of
December in the contest year (example: 2006, 2007, 2008...) and the highest rating IAW,
this websites I-Rater Software. Bot votes or false proxy votes as determined by us through IP information will render the applicable entry invalid. We also reset voting for those contestants who receive more than 100 '1' votes in a
48hr period after we identify the source IP's responsible for the vote attack. This prevents organized vote blocking
or down voting by those who seek to fix or rig the contest. Organized voting is allowed as long as the judges vote for the particular contestant (s) they choose to support and do not vote down every other contestant in efforts to skew contest results. The
Beauty Pageant winners in the 'Miss' and 'Mrs' categories will be announced on the website after final tally and adjustments NLT 2100hrs PST(9PM) on
31, December of the contest year end.
Q. If I am a photographer, modeling agency, casting director, talent scout or vendor looking to partner with this
Beauty Pageant and Model Search website, what can I do to get an account and have access to all the
models, pageant contestants and website features?
A. Please contact us at director@theultimatebeautyqueen.com and tell us what you have to sell or promote and we may allow you an account on a selective basis. At present we are not looking for any partners but if you have an idea for a promotion then we can discuss the matter. We are looking for party host and event planners in every major city in the world for monthly recruiting parties and promotional events. Contact us to find out how we can help you become successful as an Ultimate Beauty Queen party host.
Q. Which category should I pick / I can not
find the correct category, what should I do?
A. The easiest way to choose a category if you need a
little help is to look at the other models in a category and decide if the
pictures you are going to upload are similar to those of the models in that
category.
We encourage all models on the site to choose a category based on what type
of modeling they are interested in. Models who can not find a category are
free to suggest one by simply posting to the forums or using the contact page
to send in the suggestion. As there are many types of models on the site we
have tried to use fairly generic categories.
